Patricia Cassatt

Board Member

Patricia Cassatt became Executive Director of People’s Community Health Center at a time when it was an all-volunteer, free clinic. Since that time, it has grown to a seven-site federally qualified health center with more than 60 employees. Ms. Cassatt obtained federally qualified health center status for the health center in 1991 and built a dynamic staff which qualified the health center for Joint Commission Accreditation in 2000. Ms. Cassatt received a post-graduate certificate in business administration from the University of Baltimore and graduated cum laude with a Masters of Science Degree from Loyola College. Recently she was bestowed the level of Fellow of Non-Profit Leadership by the Weinberg Foundation.

Dennis G. Cherot

Treasurer

Dennis Cherot has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Total Health Care, Inc., a 20,000-member managed care organization, since 1997. With his extensive background in health care management and administration, Mr. Cherot is active in Total Health Care’s overall leadership as well as fundraising and the development of public/private partnerships.

William Flynt, MD

Board Member

William Flynt, M.D., is the Chief Executive Officer of Community Clinic, Inc., which provides high-quality primary care and health-related and WIC services for medically under-served persons in Montgomery and northern Prince Georges Counties. In addition, he serves as the Chair of Maryland’s WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Advisory Council. Following a 17-year career with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Dr. Flynt has been much in demand as a medical public health consultant advising major foundations, federal, state and local governments, and non-profit health agencies on issues involving organizational and management analysis, planning and program development, and preparation of legislation.

Sylvia Fielder Jennings

Sylvia Fielder Jennings is the Executive Director of Owensville Primary Care Community Medical Center, where she has served in that administrative capacity since 1997. In her current role, Ms. Jennings is responsible for the management of primary care operations, services, programs, contractual relationships, and finances.

Sarah A. (Sally) Leonhard, M.D., J.D.

President

Sarah A. (Sally) Leonhard is the Executive Director of Greater Baden Medical Services, Inc. (GBMS). Greater Baden Medical Services provides comprehensive primary care services to children and adults residing in Prince Georges, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s Counties. Dr. Leonhard is the President of the Board of Directors of Community Health Integrated Partnership.

Mark Rajkowski

Board Member

Mark Rajkowski is the CEO/Executive Director for West Cecil Health Center located in Conowingo, Maryland.  West Cecil Health Center is a new Federally Qualified Health Center which opened its doors on January 2, 2008. Before becoming the Executive Director, Mr. Rajkowski was one of West Cecil's founders and served as the President of its' Board of Directors. Mr Rajkowski brings 20 years of corporate banking experience with him, having held a senior executive position in the Advertising/Marketing divisions of the bank. Mr. Rajkowski has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Temple University.

David Shippee

David Shippee is the executive director of Chase Brexton Health Services, Inc., Maryland’s largest community-based provider of HIV care and a Federally Qualified Health Center.  Mr. Shippee came to Chase Brexton 17 years ago having served the previous four years as the Administrative Director of the AIDS Treatment Program at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Policy from SUNY Binghamton in Binghamton, N.Y., and an MBA in Health Administration from Union College, Schenectady, N.Y.

Beth Little-Terry

Beth Little-Terry is the CEO for Mountain Laurel Medical Center in Oakland, MD in the heart of Garrett County.  Mountain Laurel Medical Center opened its doors on October 20, 2006.  The CEO has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of the health care industry.  She joined Mountain Laurel as the COO in August 2006 and was promoted to CEO in November 2007.  Prior to joining Mountain Laureel she was the COO with a community health center in Talkeetna, Alaska.
